Yes! We have a 4 new stamps to add to our fabulous collection of Indian stamps. These were released to commemorate the XI conference of Parties to the Convention of Biological Diversity. All 4 animals featured in the stamp are highly endangered animals endemic, to the country.
I can still remember the day i took this picture of the venated gliding frog. We were out in the pouring rain, filming a sequence of these animals breeding and building their foam nests. It was past midnight and we were soaking wet. To add to the excitement was a feral elephant that was moving around somewhere close by. This animal had a nasty reputation and we could hear the sound of its chains get closer and closer. The frog in the photo is a female (they are much bigger than the males).
Quite a thrill to have one of our countries postage stamp made out of my photos :)
